Discover the Story Behind Bhutan's Finest Coffee

From the Himalayan mountains to your cup, experience coffee crafted with purpose.

Our Story

Bhutan Coffee was born from a simple yet ambitious vision: to introduce the world to the exceptional specialty coffee grown in the pristine mountains of Bhutan.

Nestled along the eastern Himalayas, our coffee is cultivated in rich mountain soils at elevations between 800 and 2,000 metres above sea level. Cool climates, pure spring water, and traditional farming practices create ideal conditions for producing coffees with remarkable character, clarity, and complexity.

From the very beginning, we have worked hand in hand with Bhutanese farming communities, supporting sustainable cultivation while creating long-term economic opportunities for rural households. Every bean we produce is proudly grown, harvested, and processed in Bhutan.

From seed to cup, we are involved in every stage of the journey—nursery development, cultivation, cherry harvesting, processing, drying, milling, roasting, and brewing. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain exceptional quality and complete traceability throughout the entire value chain.

Bhutan Coffee is known for its elegant balance, vibrant acidity, natural sweetness, and clean finish. Depending on the region and harvest, our coffees reveal tasting notes of honey, citrus, stone fruits, caramel, chocolate, wild berries, floral blossoms, and subtle spices—expressing the unique terroir of the Himalayas in every cup.

Every harvest reflects the care of our farmers, the purity of Bhutan’s environment, and our commitment to excellence. We proudly present specialty-grade Arabica coffee that meets international quality standards while remaining deeply connected to its origin.

Our passion is more than producing outstanding coffee. It is about building resilient farming communities, protecting Bhutan’s natural environment, and sharing one of the world’s newest and most exciting coffee origins with coffee lovers everywhere.
